Eleanor and Park is so adorable and cute! This book had it’s many ups and downs but it always kept you interested. I’m not a big contemporary fan but I am a big Rainbow Rowell fan. This is my third Rainbow Rowell book and now I plan on reading the rest.

From the beginning, there is just this flow that causes you not to realize that you are almost sixty pages in and should be doing homework instead. My favorite thing is to have relatable characters, and this book definitely delivers. While she describes challenges that I cannot relate to, there is also the quality of everyday life and school that you cannot help but relate with no matter who you are.

Eleanor- I loved her clothing choices throughout the book, even if she couldn’t help it, and loved that even though she was insecure she was able to project to others that she didn’t care about what she looked like. She really was an amazing character because she was not easily let down, but also didn’t get her hopes up for things that were unlikely.

Park- He was just so adorable! My favorite thing about Park is that he knew he was the awkward kid that everyone left alone. He cared what others thought but quickly seemed to grow into a mature character. His yearning to take care of Eleanor no matter what helped prove that he outgrew the small town life that he was so used to.

My overall opinions were that this book was cute and adorable, and something that I would re-read. My only downfall was that I wanted more at the ending, but that is Rainbow Rowell’s thing. Basically I really liked but I didn’t love. I do not know why but it felt like it was missing something.

4/5 stars

P.S. Does anyone else have song choices for this book or any others?
