Title: Winter

Author: Marissa Meyer

# in series: fourth and last

# of pages: 827

My rating: 5/5 stars

So this series has a special place in my heart because it reignited my love of reading. About a year and a half ago I found a booktube video talking about Cinder, and thought it sounded interesting. Now I am so grateful for that video because without it I would never have read this series, or all the ones I’ve read since.

After I finished this book I just sat in my room and cried for awhile because this series is over now! The feeling that a series that got me so into reading is over just overwhelmed me.

So let’s start with the adorkable relationships in this series. First off we get Kai and Cinder who are two of my all time favorite characters! Their relationship has it’s many struggles but provides a real look at what tough decisions have to be made, even if you have to sacrifice other things. Then we have Scarlet and Wolf who up until Winter I honestly did not care much about. In the previous books they really just had this weird overprotective relationship that did not particularly interest me. Winter honestly changed my view on them and made me love them so much. Next is the all time OTP Thorne and Cress! I mean Captain Thorne and Cress. To me they were my favorites because Cress is just this super awkward adorkable girl and Thorne is that guy who will do anything to make sure people do not take him seriously. Their relationship was so sweet and innocent. I loved all of the small moments that they share throughout the book. Lastly, we get Winter and Jacin, who take your heart freeze it and then melt it again. All of the characters relationships were super cute but this one had something different about it. I don’t know if it is because of Winter’s mental illness, or the fact that they were forbidden to be together. Overall all of Marissa Meyer’s characters are amazing and were just so adorable.

The storyline was so amazingly thought out that everything fit together in perfect pieces. I was cheering throughout the whole book and wanting to get to the end while also never wanting to reach the end. I really wish there was going to be one more book. SPOILER  I want to see what happens to Winter once she gets the chip put in her. Will she be okay? Will it stop her mental illness from progressing or help stop the visions she gets? I also want to see Kai and Cinder together after gets rid of the Lunar Monarchy. Plus who does not want to see a last Rampion crew adventure with Thorne, Cress, Scarlet, Wolf, and maybe Kai and Cinder join in. I need another book! END SPOILER .

Overall I loved this book and no matter what, I think I will always say that I want another book from this series because they are so amazing. I would recommend the series to anyone who loves characters that just melt your heart, and stories that make you want to go on an adventure of your own!

5/5 stars.

Oh my god! I had some of these exact same feelings and thoughts! I have a question if you don’t mind, though….. Did you ship Iko and Kinney?! I have not read any review in which it says that they ship them and that is just sad cuz I shipped them so much!
