This was a reread for me so it may not be as in depth of a review. I obviously still loved it! ❤ I did not however pay a lot of attention to the Carry On scenes or any of the Simon and Baz scenes. Mostly I was just reading about Cath.

First I know that I say that I love relatable characters, but I really do. And Cath is a character that I identify with more than any other in a book. I have seriously never felt so represented in a story as I do in this one.

The plot. I really enjoyed the plot and a lot more happens than I remembered which was nice because I thought I knew everything. I really enjoyed the whole going to college and having no clue how to socialize because I can empathize with that completely (even though I’m not in college yet).

The characters. As we all know Rainbow Rowell always does an amazing job with her characters. This book was just another amazing addition to that list of characters. None of them seemed too far fetched or way out there. They seemed real and acted how I think people act (the key there was I think).

The romance. I don’t consider myself as a romantic person but this book made me smile whenever I read something sweet or cute in it. I think that Rainbow Rowell did an amazing job at not pushing the romancing in the book but not underplaying it either. It was perfect!

I have to talk about the fanfiction. I truthfully did not pay attention to the original Carry On scenes this time around because I felt like I would know everything. That being said I think that there was an good balance between the story and the added Simon and Baz scenes. I would still recommend that you read Fangirl  first if you plan on reading Carry On  only because that’s the order they were published and it makes Simon and Baz just that much cuter.

Overall I loved this and it was a great reread! If you haven’t read it yet you should because it’s one of the few contemporaries that I have read and liked!
