I’ve heard so many people talk about how amazing this book is and I’m so glad that I finally gave it chance.

I have to start off with the characters because I loved them so much. Noah is obviously my favorite. The way that the male characters interacted with each other was my favorite thing. You could feel the love and respect they had for each other, and how they truly didn’t want to hurt each other. I also really loved how even though they were each so different they also had things to connect each of them together. Blue was an amazing female lead because she was super strong and confident and was basically a badass. It felt like her relationship with all of them was very natural and pretty realistic.

The multiple POVs were something that I also really loved. They added so much to the story, which was great because it really added so many great levels of character development. With all of the different POVs it took no time at all for me to get used to and fall in love with this eclectic group of characters.

Pacing was okay, I felt like it started off a little too slow but it gradually sped up and then it had a great flow to it. There were some slow moments in the middle but I enjoyed them because they provided more development and needed explanations. But there were also so many intense scenes where I had to resist turning the page too soon and seeing what would happen.

Okay now on to the romance. I am so confused. Is it going to be a love triangle? I have no clue honestly what’s going on in the romance department. Blue as we know isn’t supposed to have any relationships because of reasons but I am still so confused on who she likes, because I feel like they are going to try and add a love triangle and I really don’t want that.

Overall I really liked the book even if I can’t figure out the romance. Hopefully it will play itself out in the next books.

I haven’t read the second book yet (although it’s on my list!), but I was wondering the same thing–will this turn into a triangle? I can see some chemistry between Blue and Adam, but I think that’s largely from Adam’s perspective. Not so sure is Blue has the butterflies-in-the-stomach feeling for Adam yet or not… Still, it was a good book.

I only started this series in January, and only because I too heard so many people talking about these books. It’s a fantastic series so I’m so glad to see you loved the first book as well!
I agree with you about the pacing in the first book, it did start off a little slow but I found because it took the time to develop the characters and the world it didn’t bother me that much.
I will say the series gets so much better with the second, third and fourth books, in my opinion at least. Do you have plans to start The Dream Thieves soon?
    Great review! 😀
